Looks like windy.com went to a pay service. Anyone got a good free site or app they recommend for predicting local winds and conditions?

Stormsurf:  https://stormsurf.com/locals/mendo.shtml

I refer to NWS first, to get the big picture.  Then I look at Windy - it still provides free forecast looks for the coming 6 days or so, even though it grays out and recommends going "premium" for days past that.  Windy never seems to get the specifics right for the Cove, but it's helpful used in concert with other pages, as with most of the forecast tools.

Go get em, Glyn!   :smt001

I use the National Weather Service site - it has a "click on the map" feature that lets you narrow down the area to a 1km square.  I find it to be mostly pretty good, and check it against windy.com and tides4fishing.com for other metrics not covered on the NWS site.
