Changing jobs, no matter what it is, is always a heart thumping time. Good luck with the new adventure. It seems only natural that you will be working for a kayaking outfit. Now...if only Vince can get his webmaster to develop a more useful website.

I'll try to stop by to say hello. Will Vince allow pictures to be taken inside the store?

Howard

Thanks Howard!

Yup, I'll be getting a pay-cut by going with Aquan, but at least I'll enjoy going to work everyday :smt002

Howard, I suggest you meet with Vince regarding the web site - I'm sure he'll appreciate your feed back.

thanks for the info mooch well probably see you there sat. nite. congrats on the coureer change. for a guy like you to be working at anything that aint about kayak fishing is imo a complete waste of your talents. sort of like picasso working in a peanut factory.

Thanks for the kind words Kayakjack. It was a hard decision to make at first...due to the fact that I served 8 years with Konica Minolta and made a decent living with them - given the fact that I'm single and living in the Bay Area  :smt011

There will definitely be a life style change but I look forward to working with Vince, I've gotten to know him over the years and I think we'd get along well.

But because I'll be on the floor (instead of in front of a computer all day) I'll be less visible on the NCKA site. I'll chime in as much as I can but I know for a fact that no one will come even close to my number of posts  :smt002

I talked to him about it during the boat house opening. He said the website was going to be updated. Haven't seen much sign of it yet.

He's just been too busy. He's got a long list of things to do and with little the staff he has, it's hard to get projects started. I've spent some time at his store and I'm constantly amazed with how many phone calls and emails that he receives.

On a side note: I will be leaving my full time job at Konica Minolta soon and will be working full time for Aquan.
Congratulations Joel  :smt041 Its takes a lot of Guts to follow your dreams I sure you will be happy. I know Vince couldn't have a more Enthusiastic Employee. Hope it doesn't cut into your Fishing Time too much but don't worry when ever you want to go and can't to mind the shop I'll go for you  :smt005. Next time I see you I would like to take you out for a good meal to Celebrate.     Mike

Congratulations Joel on the new job I hope it don't cut into your fishing time,  you could start a guide service out of Aquan that would be right up your ally.

Congrats on the job change Mooch!!! It only seems natural that you would be working in this field. It's always refreshing to see somebody take a pay cut to switch jobs and do something they love instead of what is comfortable. I envy you.

Congrats Mooch!  I live in Redwood City and I'm always popping in there for some little tidbit of gear... looking forward to the sale and seeing how Aquan continues to develop with such a dedicated kayak fisherman on staff!
