Report - Martinez Refinery- Striper.

Arrived 9:30 for high Tide, 3rd cast Bang-o! nice 4 lber on green and yellow rattletrap, slow for a couple hours after that just 1 more small on a blue rattletrap, I had paddled out to Grizzly Bay, and back... then about 2:00 (low tide)2 more (actually a double hookup) one on a bloody red rattletrap I was throwing, 6 lb, while I was handling that one... my uglystick went Bendo on a bull head I was drifting, I had it up to the leader and saw what I call an 8 lber before he rejected the bait, obviously not hooked very well, was using a circle hook which was a bad choice in retrospect. one more small striper from a bull head. overall, not a bad day...

Circle hooks work most of the time, Jeff. Doesn't look like you encountered much wind. Good fishing just to be away from work.

you stuck with plan, therefore rewarded with a few STICKS of YOUR OWN! way to hit the water and hook some FISH! getting them on the lure is always more fullfilling. NICE WORK Jeff!
