Before I get to the rant, firstly, Happy New Year everyone!

On to the rant. With the exception of the East Bay Parks who do a fantastic job of stocking, the rest of the Bay Area lakes/ponds seem to be neglected by the Dept. of Wildlife. I've been looking at the stocking schedule, and it's all SoCal, with some Central Valley mixed in. In the counties of Alameda, CC, San Mateo, Marin, Santa Cruz, Napa and Sonoma, there are NO stocking information for the next 2 weeks, while LA and San Bernardino counties have 20 plants scheduled. What gives??!?! Why no love for the Bay Area?

Sorry to start the New Year on a rant, but I was looking forward to taking my nieces and nephews for some fishing while they were at my house....

I think they vary the stock numbers based on weather patterns too - seems like they wait until it isn't dumping rain usually.  It's been pretty wet the last couple weeks, maybe they will bump it up again soon?

In my vicinity, they used to stock Lexington and the Campbell percolation ponds but, as far as I know, no more. It seems to me that the percolation ponds would be a great put-and-take location...
