I received the resource limit message again this morning.
It’s interesting that the forum shows over 5,000 guests were on at 4:21am this morning.

I've been getting the message again this morning.

If we put more of the site behind the login wall, would that help with this?

This is getting to be ridiculous. The site is practically unusable...

I keep refreshing and get to where I need to be.  My Tomales thread has 3042 views.  Amazing… :smt006

It's also interesting what all these guests (or bots) are looking at. Not only are they looking at topics and threads,
they're looking at members profiles.
OK... I'm done digging around.

I think it's gotta be AI looking for information.  Someone asks AI a question about kayak fishing, and AI goes looking into the internet for answers.  It's gonna look at anything that could have relevant information, which would include basically anything that we have accessible to guest accounts.  Can you see the activity on login-required content, and if any attempts have been made to access that?  Also, does anyone know if we can make our site inaccessible to AI platforms?

DDOS attack?

Most likely. Similar thing happened to my site at work (boring teaching videos). A password (that everybody knows) was added, and that ended the problem.
