Video: May 10 Mendocino Rockfishing

I got into the water around 7:15 but had to return to the shore to troubleshoot my Bixpy motor. Replugging the connector resolved the issue. 
After no bites for the first hour from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., I moved to a new spot and got hot bites. Within the next hour, I got my rockfish limit. 
Started looking for lings, the first one was short, the next ones were 27" and 29".  Returned around 11 AM, with the limit of lingcod and rockfish.  Dropped off three rockfish to the camp host.

Many good State Parks around here: Russian Gulch, MacKerricher, Van Damme.  If you want free parking spaces, I noticed people staying overnight at Ten Mile Beach/Ward Ave area.

It is nice that I don't have to wake up at 3 AM to go rockfishing.  After my retirement move to Fort Bragg, I can reach the launch spot within 20 minutes.
I sure put my fish cleaning station to use.  I will continue to make adjustments and additions to the cleaning station.

Good to hear retirement is going go for you Paul! Hope to see you out there soon.
