So that's the end finally just a bunch of food porn.  Hope you enjoyed the pics and quick stories about my trip.  It really was a trip of a lifetime and I have so many many fond memories of my time there, I cannot begin to recount them all.  I can say that it was very eye opening for myself and that I cannot wait to get back there as soon as I can.  So much much more to explore I didn't even scratch the surface!

Wellllll, after another two year or so hiatus from NCKA, what a way to come back into the fold so to speak. Seems like you had a most excellent time there!  All I can add, is that in 2018 I spent a few days as well in Nha Trang, and it was glorious. Superb food, great motorcycling out to some local natural attractions and people as friendly as all get out.

I so want to go back to Nha Trang, rent a bike and head up to Da Lat then down to Saigon and back to Nha Trang. Just dawdle along and spend the better parts of two weeks.

One thing that  twisted up my brain was 24000 VND to the buck, then converting that to RMB /TWD/Baht for a semi-local value  comparison for  fresh groceries. Some things were amazingly cheap (2000 VND beer) and some things seemed very high priced compared to Taiwan/China/Thailand…

Don’t let this be a once in a lifetime trip.  Save those pennies and go back to SE Asia. Do it on the cheap, and your biggest expense could be airfare.

Welcome back Scott-OG! I second this whole heatedly!  I will be going back as soon as possible actually and planning to visit Da Lat next  :smt003 I hope that somehow I also inspired others to take a trip to the other side of the world and experience what Vietnam has to offer.  We have our good buddy B0B living there now if anyone wants advice i'm sure you can hit him up!  He helped me with tons of questions I had before and during the trip.

What an epic adventure…..Report of the Year Al!!!!!  That river exploration woulda made the trip for me. What a life it must be to have that backdrop as your daily playground.

I get torn between living in the moment and capturing the details, most of the time I opt not to take pics and regret it later.  Thanks for taking the time……especially the food porn  :smt001
