Day 2, I left 3 traps out overnight and just got back from checking them. A  barley legal female that was released, some rock, some undersized and 2 males over 6”! Which is more than enough for my wife and I to eat.

Good stuff!  Do you remember what time you sense that "the bite" when your pots filled today? :smt006

Hey Fishin Rod
7 is a very good day, tomorrow Limits!!!
I got skunked today except for a good rock crab :smt012

Nice to see some of the NCKA Crew! Wish I had more time…
Alex, get ur muscles??
Victor, good job on ur nice haul! Sorry I got a lil close that 1 time, lol!
As for the question, is Bodega slow?   I have to say yea it is.
Maybe next time I’ll find the honey hole :smt006
Scotty

Sidenote, since I skunked and was having a crab fest at my house sun
and NO crab, I went to Paisano Bros in Spud point marina and bought 6 Live 7” dungies , beautiful crab, but boy did I pay for it!
Vendors bumped the price up $2 to $12 a lb.
There was a clam chowder contest in Bodega Bay Sat.  Town was full!
I think they figured these yuppies will pay  the extra! Well, I’m not a yuppie  but I did pay the extra…$165
Yea, it’s alot but will be awsome!
Fresh Dunginess Crab, Get it while you can!!!

I used my 3 traps and 4 ambush nets the first day and tried to get away from all the other floats. It was a lot of moving, for 2 keepers. That night I left my 3 traps out 24 hrs and got 2 more in the same location. I then moved my 3 traps all to the same area that I had caught the keepers and the 3rd pull yesterday, I was able to get the 7. I will head out this afternoon and check them again, however, I will pull the traps as I head home tomorrow.

Day 4, produced 5 dungeons and some red crabs. The reds I gave to my camping neighbor. Tomorrow we head home. I had a great time and met some NCKA members and a group of guys from Chico. I made reservations for next year already too and look forward to meeting more people in the future.
