A buddy who surf fishes wants to float and catch more fish this weekend, so i'm taking him on a SC skiff. Used to live on skiffs, but now it's only once a year or so. It's a nice change of pace and a treat to get other people on lings and such that they normally don't catch. Will be listening on 69 and hope to spot some of you slayers. Here's to fishing with gasoline!!!

:smt044. Look forward to hearing your experience in the skiff, should be entertaining  :smt003. I often think of renting them and then coming with a bunch of gear to outfit them like a FF, rod holders, DR etc.  :smt044

Tricking out a small motorboat is actually what I’ve been lobbying for at home for when I’m too old to kayak.

I took out my par graph about the bad soundtracks on YouTube videos because I’m trying to be a positive ray of sunshine

I tried to do this one time, but couldn't get the FF mounted right to keep the transducer in the water at the correct angle.

Then, when I bought my little boat, it all came clear. Previous owner used a transom mount trolling motor bracket to mount the transducer. No holes in the boat, I can lift it, move it, and remove it completely in seconds.   Would work very well on the SC skiffs.

Oh, have fun with your buddy! Those skiffs are pretty fun, even if I couldn't get the FF mounted properly.

Sounds like fun. You don't need a FF--just ask the kayakers to point out the schools of rockfish...
I don't like stuff that sucks.
