Pre-fished the hell out of the lake today.  In a word tough.  Tough enough to warrant a format change or its gonna be slim.  That said after 5.5 hours and 10 miles, I finally found them.  Piled up right in front of the BAM camp.  Too funny.  This guy was a snaky 28 inches, but good enough to light up the 8 weight.  Missed another.

Yep.  See the tourney page.  If I keep it the way it is we'll all go hungry!  There are also some safety issues with the weigh-boat idea.  Metered lots of sub-two foot depths today.

NICE job with the fly rod. Did you hook him on the troll or casting to a boil?

Hey Sean! I saw you on the lake from Hwy 20. Cruising by I just had to take a look. Around 9 and you were at the south end. Glad to hear you found a fish. Five hours though? You put your time in if you hooked up at the 5 hr mark! They weren't boiling, were they?
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

No boils.  I had one take down on a SLOW troll, it came off.  :smt013 :smt013 This one on the slow strip.  I basically cruised the whole lake getting the low down.  I got all of the action in the last half hour.  then I had to go.  :smt010 :smt010

The camera.  It is an old wp33, 4 years of torture and it finally croaked.  Impressive really, that thing took a serious beating.

How long did you have it? I am considering buying one but if they don't last I might reconsider....
