Bead Management

I have frustrating trouble with Seps bead containers. No matter how careful I am when I try to close the package the beads go flying everywhere. At this point with new ones I just dump them out to get it over with, and not finding them all makes it easier to close them up.

I was thinking of putting the different sizes into a small sectioned tackle tray but wanted to see if anyone has a great idea for controlling these little beasts.

They’ll work good for beads too I bet

Why not just a small ziplock for those beads.
Put them where you want to store them.

I had some other baggies (no, not those kind) for swivels or weights or something and I put them in there.  There is a hole in the bag just the right size to pop one out when I need it, so I do that.  Still, I keep everything in a container when assembling, cause those mf's go everywhere if you drop them.

I feel your pain. You pop open those packs and the dam things go everywhere! Just go to your local craft store. They'll have an assorted sizes of bead boxes for only a few dollars.

I like to use these tackle binders from bass pro for my Kokanee gear. I’ve got one binder for all of my lure build materials (beads, blades, squid skirts, etc…) and then others for the pre-tied stuff. I also like to use small diameter foam tubes to store all of the stuff already tied up and on a leader. One of my tackle binders is just that, a mess of foam sections with a bunch of spinners and squidies wrapped on them

I store most of my loose tackle at home in deli cups, big and small. When on the go, I keep extra beads and hoochies and disks and stuff in tiny tupperwares.

+1 for the pill containers, may just have to use that. I have tons of extra beads though, that may only be enough for small batches.

Tip: When building lures, I do all my work in a shallow baking sheet. That keeps those pesky little parts from rolling away. I learned this the hard way when my wife stepped on a #4 hook that found its way to the carpet.

Good idea, I use shallow baking sheets when servicing reels. The picture I posted was this last weekend when I was re-tying my newly acquired kokanee lures. Looking forward to going out again. 

Plano makes the edge series of boxes. They make small containers that fit into the large boxes. They have different sizes. The small containers have lids and some have little dividers too. Great for storing hooks/swivels/beads/etc.

When I fish floats I carry one of these.
