I was a little nervous at my DMV license renewal though with the "put your hand over one eye" moment.

The way people drive around here, I wouldn't worry about the DMV at all, haha.

You mean they can’t see or find their turn signal lever and must have blurry speedometer vision?   :smt006

Biggest problem I have is keeping them clear of salt water. I need them to see my fish finder. Need transiton readers. Always switching between sunglasses and reading glasses.

My Costco prescription sunglasses have progressive lenses. Good for distance, intermediate and reading viewing. Works great for outdoor conditions.

I have to comment on this one. In a pinch I bought a pair of random polarized sunglasses at a corner store for like $20. I ended up really liking them and used them as my dailys. Later I splurged on a pair of Costas because I had a gift certificate at WM. I kept them in their original case and in my glove box to only be used when fishing. A couple months later we were fly fishing on a river and I decided to pull them out for the first time and do a side by side comparison. I was shocked. The cheap ones were better! Only slightly better, but for sure better than the Costas at seeing through the glare on the water, giving a clearer view underwater. Also there was less glare on the inside of the glass when the back of my head was facing the sun. And they were more comfortable and lighter weight. So I returned the $250 Costas and looked up the brand on the cheap glasses. I found their website and ordered 1 dozen pairs in bulk for $36. $44.10 with tax and shipping. Yup, that is right, $3.67/pair shipped. That was last October and so far I think I have only thrown one pair away because the lens got a bit scratched up. But I'm pretty rough on my glasses. Their website has a constantly changing selection of styles. In fact I just looked them up again for this post and might order another dozen because I like the look of their new "Sports Sunglasses" and they are only $48 for a box of one dozen.
