CDFW revised the draft version based on the comments they received.

Upload to your fish finder and prepare for the anticipated May 1 nearshore opening date.

I must've done the month math wrong.  I found a chart on the cdfw page that I read over and over in shock so thanks for confirming better results.  I believe I found the schedule for last years debacle.

I have deep fomo ptsd so if I do not go out with you I may as well start my crochet classes...I'm in and o' so grateful..we should go celebrate early and have a shore fishing session.

JoeDubC and I commented on moving out the waypoint #63 (near Fort Ross), approximately 1/2 mile, and the final version relocated it.
This revision provides access to all our favorite rockfish spots.

Note the 2 fish sub-bag limit for vermilions. There was an option on the table for 0 but they settled for 2. The big question is at what point vermilions become the next quillback which had been subject to precaution (but no regulatory action) since 2021 but quickly transitioned into an emergency no-take depth range closure by the end of last year. Hopefully this year's anticipated gang bang fishing inside 20 fa won't subject vermilions...as well as all other nearshore species...to the same fate as quillbacks.

I am not sure they considered 0 sub-bag limit for vermilion.  I thought they considered 2 or 3 sub-bag limits.
