Wow!
Looks like we'll be playing "bumper-kayaks" out there w/ all the traffic.
As safer day however, would not be seen w/ all the friends, people power, electronics etc. out there this coming Sunday.
And BBQ to boot!
I marked a spot that yielded my halibut and a good vermillion within minutes of each other on the very next drift.
They were still flopping hard under my seat when the wind died and the action stopped.
Just before catching the halibut I remember thinking....
"If I could only score a butt this trip I could go home happy right away!"
As soon as he was in the lower deck of the Cobra....I remember thinking again....
"If I could only score another butt this trip I could go home happy right away!"
I fear I have awakened a sleeping giant and filled it with a terrible, obssessive resolve.
Is there a halibuts anonymous for those about to take this kind of thing too far??
Steve
PS. And after feeling too cool about myself, I wave  to this very relaxed guy paddling by... with 2 tails sticking up behind his seat! :smt013
That would be Freddie I imagine?

Piscean is willing to put me up again this weekend, so add me to the list, too.  I can't wait to fish Bean Hollow another time and meet some more kayak fishermen!

"They were still flopping hard under my seat when the wind died and the action stopped"
We needed a little more wind drift and this Sunday looks better!
I just went out and got more leadheads w/ white curley tails and baby octopus at my favorite bait shop...I mean Asian food store.
