If you still need help figuring out how to lower the mast let me know I used to have one. Its not hard and can be single handed for sure.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!  I figured this would be a good way to learn more about sailing and rigging, which the AI (unless your NWM) isn't really setup for.  It could be fun to have for a year and then pass on to someone else is my thinking at this price, will see how much it ends up costing me  :smt005

Although I've watched the few decent video's on raising the mast there are a few things I wasn't quite sure about.   To start i'm not sure if there is a hing on the base, didn't get a good look at it, but took a small video and screen shot.  The mast twists side to side, and wasn't sure if there is a way to lock it down before lowering.  Most of the videos showed using the jib halyard to lower it, so I know I have to disconnect the fore-stay and then keep it from falling.

Found a video that showed how the mast pin works, so have a much better idea now how it connects and pivots

Thinking about the trailer, the wheels looked pretty awful.  I think I'm going to go try jacking it up and seeing how they spin and if they are usable.  If not then I'll pay the 60$ a month to keep it at the harbor for now.

I think I bought new wheels for about $25/ea about 5 years ago, and its good to change 'em out about every 5 years anyway.
For the price of 2 months harbor storage you can prbably change the wheels out.

You might want to pull the grease cups and see if they axles are greasy (good).

Here's a free one if you have space for a 14.

If this is the same thing, it looks like a crazy fast boat. Tempting....

Dang it has no tiller extension, which is missing on mine  :smt044 I'm a little worried that it might be missing parts when by the time I get it home too, which looks like soonest will be Thursday.  I'm tempted to call AAA and see if I can jsut have it towed home.

The tires are certanly cracked but they were holding air.  When I did look at the wheels though it looked severely caked with grease/grime.  I didn't know much about how the wheels and hubs are connected until doing some research.  I think I better try jacking it up and seeing how the wheels spin before I think about dragging it up the mountain.
