Launching from miiler point at 7.  Finding bait hopefully.  Paddling back at 12:30.

Cancel Sausalito
Tide seems ideal.  Launching from Dunphy.  Hopefully launch by 7.  Find bait and get to the grounds I've never fished.  After Monterey I feel adventurous.  The only technical part will be getting across the depths to the shallower bar.  It's about a 2mi. distance from the launch.  Hopefully catch a ride to the grounds and a ride back to the landing.  Come one come all...no guarantees.  Off da wattah' by 1. :smt006

She doesn’t know yet… :smt002.  I kind of tell/ask her to “test the water”  so to speak…

Tomales is looking good for Friday light winds, minimal tide swing. Might just have to show up.

Come on down when it's time.  We're crabbing and maybe sitting for a sturgeon at some point... :smt006

I don’t believe in luck, it was my turn.  I’ll call it a dink-keeper 24” 5lbs dressed on a live chovy north of hog at 11am.  Fished with Mark L and was stoked to see Nawm working that swimbait.  He gave me a handful of beautiful new pours.  Thanks my brah!

Wind was a factor.  Bait, hard to find but I found three anchovies on the inside 200 yds out the launch.  On the grounds, a bait column was driving by so I dropped my sabiki, nothing.  Suddenly my rod zzzzips off and tangles my sabiki.  This happened right after Mark asks if any fish are biting my offering.  Note to self, do not fish a sabiki on the same side as the main rod.

This was a panic mode mess.  I cranked up my sabiki yet the other rod was still loaded.  I couldn’t reel up the fish until I six hook untangled the rods.  It was a blur and finally separated.  He hung on and zipped off several times.  Grateful for keeping a loose drag.  I inaugurated my newly made gaff but missed on 3 swipes.  All this for 2.5 lbs of flesh, but I’m just plain stoked!

Made it to work by 3 and had fishy stories to tell the kiddies….life is good… :smt006
