I'm super picky with fish. I generally don't like fishy fish. That's probably why I enjoy eating halibut the most because they are so mild and non-fishy. However, I really enjoy eating mackerel even though they are fishy and braised mackerel is my favorite way to eat them.

Thanks for posting Moo! Looks really yummy!  I need to start expanding my horizons a bit on how I cook my catches - I typically just batter and fry (fish n chips) or grill (tacos) most of the fish I catch.

Looking forward to crab season, and hope I can score some mackerels while waiting on crab rings.

Do you make Mackerel ceviche? Is that a thing? I usually see lighter, whiter fish prepared that way. But I do loooovvvve both mackerel and ceviche separately, so why not together?

I was thinking the spaish macks that have the whiter flesh.
