any tips on how to replace broken riveted mesh handles on T11?

both port n starboard handles ripped, leaving in place the handle bases fastened w dual rivets.

would prefer a fixed/rigid replacement rather than a floppy fabric handle

TIA fir any tips

I’d use a drill bit the size of the rivet stem or a tick wider to break off the head.   Drill straight in the rivet and the head pops off then push the remainder into the hull.

Go to the pick and pull, get a couple oh shit handles.  Drill out rivets from center and use stainless hardware with backing material- cut piece of plastic cutting board works well - use some blue locktite on your threads, fill any old holes with plastic/jb weld/w.e., and you’re gtg.

I would use broken webbing if you have them. Seen a few done this on lighter kayaks like Prowler/Trident Ocean Kayaks. You could double or triple lay them to make them stronger.
Also you can reuse the rubber part off your broken handle to re-enforced or use some stainless washers to rivet thru.
I have some webbing with corrosions buckles you could have if you want some.
