The funnest part of the trail. Nature's roller coasters.

Once again the pics don't do these two sections justice. Hard to tell, but I circled two trees in the third pic for some scale.

You can also see in the pic above that this section, in addition to being incredibly steep, was also not very smooth. You couldn't just barrel up the hill, you actually had to concentrate and pic your track.

Here's some pics of Cody climbin' up. Not sure about him, but I was shaking and grinning ear to ear after these climbs.

Cody and I parted ways at Stonyford, as he had to get back home. I had a few hours to kill so I headed North a bit to check out a few campgrounds.

I found some pretty sweet spots that were pretty easy to get to. No 4WD required.

If we ever got a good group together there is a large, flat campground just across from this dispersed site. One or two people could swipe this dispersed site and use it as the group chill spot and the other rigs could park across the street in the huge campground.

Dang... looks like fun.  Would love to join you next time.  I'll pull my kid out of summer camp and bring him along for the day.

Does the stream in the last pics have a name?
Looks like fun!
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Yes it does.

It's Stony Creek, of course!  :smt003 :smt033

Thanks, everybody!

I'm going to try to head up there tomorrow or Friday to see how deep Stony Creek still is.
When I was there last month there were still some spots deep enough to wade in....which was very nice considering it was 106 degrees out.
