I foresee HBO to the cape then cape to the cove in Mr. X future.

HBO to Bragg, more like.  Mr. X covers the miles.

Cove to usal, Usal to Bragg.

We can teach him to linger and enjoy the fishing rather than just log miles…

Great seeing the words flowing from Erics fingers on yet another great fishing adventure! Great looking stringers and smiles all around.  Looking forward to all your reports this year Eric  :smt006

gotta love it when you run a bit of a gamble with the weather cooperating, and it turns out the forecast was off and it becomes one of those "had to be there" days.
Mooch woulda gone, for sure.

Congrats on the primo day!

Deacon vs black is a tough distinction for sure - I can't say.  It was way cool that he was the only one to catch a cab, and he had 3 greenlings to Dave's and my zero!  AOTY-fueled Madness is fun to be around.

I wanted to release the lingcod, but I'd been looking for a couple hours without a legal one, so it went on the stringer as my first of the year.  Just finished three nights in a row of eating bellies.   :smt003  Pan fried both the lings' underbellies with rice - kinda rubbery, but super tasty.  Deep fried more belly pieces and all the rockfish POAT's with panko/bread crumb coating and made tacos - so bomb.  Then deep fried the rest of the ling rib meat with tempura and destroyed myself with a giant plate of fish and chips - I'm too old to eat like that anymore, but damn it was good!
