Great deal on an awesome kayak. I've got 2 of them and would love to add this one to my collection but unfortunately don't have the time to make the drive out to the bay.

It is a great kayak, that is what I use, added some outriggers and trolling motor, great in the open ocean, not a lot of room so you bring limited gear, pack lite.

It’s a very capable kayak in various conditions for the right person. I think the issue will be that the seat is very narrow so only a smaller paddler would fit.  Just let me know, I have a few bites but no takers yet.

this is not really a slow river kayak, it is long and narrow, it likes to go fast and forward, does not turn well on a dime, when I first started to fish with it I had some trouble with capsizing when pulling in a big fish and being hit by a side wave. That is why I put outriggers on it, now it is very stable. For a slow river kayak I would think a wider and shorter kayak would be better, This model is a race horse.

If your dad has been in a prowler or tarpon then he should have no issue with the scupper pro granted it is more suited for the smaller\slimmer bodytype. It has a bad rap for being tippy but I feel that's only applicable to the wide and slow pedal barge crowd -- anyone who has been in a sik or 28" wide and under sot will be fine.

You should pick it up for him because if I can make it out to the bay next weekend for halibut I'm definitely bringing it home.

My dad is smaller than me and an ironman triathlete and ex sailboat racer; i think he will be OK. I just want to make sure It's not like trying to sit on a tight rope because thays what it seems like from these posts. He uses my revo all the time

He'll be fine. Note that this is a Scupper Classic not a Scupper Pro. Scupper Pro is the superior model with better hatch design, seat well, foot molding, tracking, and maybe hull shape IIRC.

No drywell vs drywell also.
