Heard a rumor that striper's were Lurking about in Frank's Track,

Launched out of Russo's... $10.00,  :smt013,  anybody got a better launch idea?

ChuckE, FrankFishing joined me and got on some type of bite, little slow but still picked up a 6lb/24"(Kept for firehouse dinner...)

 and a 21"( released )...

As the tide was on the way out, picked up several 1 to 1 1/2 lb LMB almost every cast for a while....

Sweet little lure for the Delta....

YoZuri Lip less crank bait " Rattl'n Vibe,  nice action, Terrible Hooks!!!!!

All Fish caught on this little puppy.. :smt002 ........... Danglin

Nice score.  Black and gold with a orange belly was my favorite color combo for the delta, looks just like a shiner.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker

I launched out of sugar barge two weeks ago, and we had to pay the launch fee  :smt013.  Single fee for two kayaks, at least.
You guys did better than we did, as we only managed to entice the LMB.  I've been jonesin' for a striper bad!  Way to go guys!

Hey if you guys want to get into some striper action let me know, I know a sweet spot at Mildred Island if you hit the tides JUST RIGHT you will get into them good, my last pure striper outing there brought me 5 keepers. I launch my yak from the levee, so no charge.

Nice fish BTW!

Jeff

The stripers were definitely there.  I landed over 20 stripers... but unfortunately they were all dinks and released unharmed.

I caught some on the Yozuri rattletrap and the Fire Tiger Rapala.... but unbelievely, most were caught on a sabiki with tiny #12 hooks.  I had at least 4 striper doubles like in the pic below.

Heading back in, Frank and I were treated to some bikini chicks dancing to the song "YMCA".

Hey Danglin... this pic's for you!

10 bucks to launch a yak!!!!? What a rip!!!!! There's got to be places you can just launch over a levee. The striper action will just get better in the coming months. Oct. is one of the best for numbers and conditions. Trouble with October is there's too many choices!! What to do?? Where to go???... what a delema...what a nice delema...

Don had to leave a bit early so ChuckE went to the Marina where I joined him. To my amazement ChuckE was catching fish on a Sabiki of all varities with double hookups to boot.

Gotta love this sport

Yup... It could get controversial if we start measuring the curves of your fish and the boat.
