I really like magic seaweed since it didn’t seem as profit focused for their services. Just provided data and analytics for the audience.

"I can't wait for everyone who has been using and supporting MSW for all these years to get their hands on the best of everything we've been creating, as we bring MSW and Surfline together."

That must be what's behind the shitty new format on Surfline. I liked to compare the sites, but generally found Surfline's projections to be more accurate.

Cheers,
Brad

I prefer(ed) Surfline too. The free version now looks kinda useless, at least on my phone…
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

So, does that mean they are now known as "Magic Surf Weed?"  If so   :smt033

It's like a password to gain access to the data a site servers.  Not sure what tedski has in mind to use it, possibly something like automatic updates sent to his phone, something like that?  :smt002

There used to be a Home Assistant (locally hosted, no-cloud home automation system) integration.  I was able to show the near-term forecast for my local launch sites on dashboards... or run automations based on the forecast.  Think something like a notification on your phone mid-day Wednesday if the weekend forecast is less than square seas and winds under 10 knots so you know to start planning a weekend of kayaking instead of motorcycling.
