Just finished the following article about renaming fish to make them more attractive to consumers. I bet you like slimeheads = orange roughy and patagonian tooth fish = Chilean sea bass by their new names.

If you can find a copy, "Hooked" by G. Bruce Knecht is a great read about the history of the Chilean Sea Bass and the high seas pursuit of a toothfish poaching vessel.

The fish itself is similar to a lingcod, but the meat apparently has an oil content like a salmon.
