[/quote]Hey Sumo.  John Walton is the man to talk to regarding Del Valle.  I'm fortunate to live close to his shop.  If he says striper bite is hot we should believe it.

Since I have lived in the bay area (little over 6 yrs.), I have been going to Walton's Pond and talking to Jon.  He always gives good, honest advice about tackle, bait, and hot spots.  I always go there to buy tackle.  I don't know if it is cheaper elsewhere, and I don't care.  The advice you get from him pays for it.  Plus he has a whole wall covered with just about every Gary Yamamoto plastic created in just about every color.  I highly recommend it if anyone lives in the east bay.

Thanks. I printed several copies (oversize) for anyone who wants to refer to it while paddling around.

OK, I will bring 32 dogs and buns. If people have special eating preferences with regard to hot dogs, let me know. If someone could bring 8 dogs and buns as backup that would be great.

...you mean if some people won't eat them?    :smt003   maybe Mooch can show you how to turn it into an ATTRACTIVE "MANDOG"  :smt007 ....don't ten dogs come in a pack?

OK, I am out of the loop. Is a man dog a large hot dog, a specific brand of hot dog or what's under Joels apron. If its the latter, I don't they sell them at Costco.  :smt005

Ben - Joel and I had talked about making this a noncompetitive event so newbies would be less intimidated and we could talk and hang out on the water. Kind of like BH without surf and sharks. However if you and Chuck and others want to have a MFF "on the low" I personally don't care :smt005

scott
I also like the idea of it being a noncompetitive event.  After BAM, I just wanna chill, eat, drink, socialize, and sleep-in.  I'm so sleep deprived.  It all good though if others wanna have their own MBF on the side. :smt003

Chuck

You could announce your retirement this weekend and go out a winner like John Elway. :smt005 :smt005

I know that for sure.  When I go there, I make sure I am never in a hurry.  Between the customers asking questions and the "regulars" sitting at the counter, it is hard to get the questions in.  Somehow he keeps his patience, though.  I will go there on Friday to get some intel on Del Valle and drool over the Yamamoto stuff.

I'll try to remember to bring you some egg rolls tomorrow for lunch. Very good tasting, although never as good as home cooking.

Also a reminder that I'll be bringing BBQ pork and BBQ chicken (on which days is still up in the air) for dinner) and they're supposedly spicy. My cooking is anything but consistent in that regard.
