Hi,
I took kids out and breaking in a new motor.

The water is very muddy. Visibility about a foot or less.

We just trolled but best bet would be soaking dough bait.

The trout tournament is today but didn’t see a lot of action.  Maybe other people did better.
Thanks
Mark

Thanks for letting us know. Need to decide between SPR, Chabot, and Contra Loma in a couple of weeks.

Was out there today, can confirm the muddy low-vis water. My buddy caught one trout after we gave up on trolling and hunkered down in some reeds away from the shore-folk.

11 fish caught for the derby, my buddy placed 9th.

My guess is that water won’t start clearing up for a few weeks as long as there are no big storms

Learned my mud lesson last year. Fishing it just isn't very productive, unless you use bait.  Will wait until the fishes are able to see clearly  :smt004

Thanks for the detailed report.  :smt001

Been a long time fishing at San Pablo. Always a good time.

A friend caught a 10 lb largemouth from the bank with power bait . He had sprinkled weed on it .   :smt004

I fished there the first day it was open to the public sometime in 1973.
