Seen a few pics of the pier at the cement ship. It's mostly gone now.

That is some crazy looking surf! Another pier out of commission!

The surf in Pacifica today blasted past the sea wall. Seeing it on camera and people running for their lives was shocking

And by the way - for y’all parents out there who had to deal with school closures today (Thursday) at the Bay Area, can someone help me understand what data informed this decision? Based on Windy it was obvious that Thursday would be just a typical winter day, no storm

My daughter's school had no power and there was debris from fallen trees and broken limbs all around the campus.

Wow , it's all gone . When I was a little kid,  I used to go out to the end of the old Cement ship .  Over the years it broke in half , now it's gone along with the pier . Nothing last forever .

I was surf fishing out there a year, maybe two ago? and seem to remember the cement ship still there - when did it get consumed?

Same...I remember one of my trips as a kid and being able to walk out onto the ship, fun times.  Very sad to see all this damage done to the surrounding area.

Same with me. First thing I thought when I saw the picture was "where's the cement ship?"

Haven't been there since I was a little kid.
