Well today is 12/31 and the last day to fish for Rock and Lings for a long time… If I can, I like the last day, to fish the Fort, kind of a tradition to end the season!
A couple weeks ago I had hoped to fish this day but Mother Nature had other plans. Don’t get me wrong I really like the rain , we need it so badly but 10 ft seas and 20mph+ winds are a bit more than   I can handle ( I’m not like Mr.X)
I guess I’m just whining a bit cause Middle of July is a long ass time to wait to get some Rockfish!
I bet I’m not the only who  feels this way cause that fish obsession/addiction is real!  With the shorter season next year it seems like a long time to ocean fish! Oh well…
I guess it with allow me to fish some freshwater and or other species.
Like 3MJ said, those poor Halibut are gonna get slammed next
spring/ summer!  Lol
Anyways  it’s winter….

Have a safe and Happy New Year NCKA!

Me three.

I have not been out on the saltwater since early October, which seems like years ago...

Hi Scott,  I really like rain too, I bought a semi dry suite and tested it at the crab season open day this year, jumped into water in HMB, found the water still can leak in my neck area, later on at this Black Friday, I found this full drysuit, I like the design which has the head hood, it’s really helpful in raining day, whatever how heavy raining, keep my whole body dry include head. I tested it this time in HMB in the bad weather

Imagine whole sea area only me, heavy rains hit on the drysuit , listen the sound “tick rock” from head hood, really enjoy this nature sound and nature moment, it do release my life pressure, wife pressure and work pressure, any pressure  :smt005

If no or small wind and swell, only rain, that Will be perfect, i am drafting on the ocean alone or with friends , merging into nature world, listening to nature raining sounds, this will be my dream moment, maybe so call “day dream”? :smt044

I definitely hear you. I happened to have the whole week off from work, was planning at least 2 outings to fish this last week. No such luck!  Lol.

Hear ya Scotty! I took off from xmas to new years to try and score some points for AOTY but the weather certainly had other plans.  Glad for the rain as well, even though it's muddied up the waters and will take a while for it to settle, maybe after this next huge storm rolls through.  Gonna put the hurt on some trout as soon as possible  :smt044
