The Artic Fox flies are really quite good!  Really like the tube design and how you can easily swap your leader between flies if you want to.  The kit comes with the wiggle fins and hooks too, makes it a easy to use setup for sure.

Their website recommended just using a egg lead in line without a dodger, just the wiggle fin.  I'll also be trying it on dodgers as well, but the straight fly sounds really cool to hook a big fish with.

That Chartreuse colored on should be killer at Amador. Last year I was tossing a black Wooly Bugger behind a Chartreuse colored water bobber and they hit the bobber more than the fly!

I've done a lot of fishing out of a float tube with flies and a sinking line. Some of the best lake fishing for trout! It's just hard to cover ground. I think trolling flies with something like a dodger to impart action could be killer. May have to give that a try...
