2022 Outback Upgrades

I got a great deal on my new 2022 Hobie Outback in papaya color, which matches with our primary Oasis tandem kayak.
After getting many great suggestions from fellow NCKA members, I completed upgrades, and it is ready for fishing.

Primary upgrades are:

I wish the PA would have put the H rails lower, aligned with the gunwale, like they are on the outback.  this is actually my biggest gripe with the PA.  Putting them flush like that makes getting in/out easier, and also allows you to take advantage of the H rail and slide rail to make a much more secure mount for a downrigger or fishing pole.

nice upgrades, what D rings did you use for the fish bag?  I'd like to add those to my kayak as well.

for the JB weld, did you put glass in there too? or just a layer of JB Weld?

Hi Paul,
Wow your new Kayak and the mods look great..... I will have to find your jb weld keel and hull guard video.   Too late for me to avoid the gauges I have already suffered but will protect it from getting worse.... love the rudder and the scotty holder upgrades as well.

Bet you can hardly wait to get it on the water... the whole upgrade thing is yet another reason I love this sport.... constant tinkering=fun for me
