what do you locals think?around 5 till sundown.how would the water be.

please let me know if its doable or just a waste of time.we could fish the near the light house area. :smt003

I think the afternoon could be worthwhile, but mornings are always preferable with calm winds. From the harbor you'd probably be working against the wind and swell to get to the lighthouse area...maybe easier to launch from the wharf?

Some places seem to "glass off" in the early evening, but usually the wind starts at about 11:00, and doesn't quit until sundown. Still, on calmer days it is very fishable. You should find lings, rockfish, and some halibut there...swimbaits, squid, or irons will work well.
