Heard the dam was coming down today, so yesterday afternoon gave it a shot the bite was WFO. Nothing too big mostly smaller fish today 1 about 15 the rest +- 12". I was getting bit almost every cast. The smallies are definitely on their fall bite. Caught a 3" bluegill on a 5" Robo Worm even my dog was amazed. The last picture shows the backup the Healdsburg dam creates tomorrow it will just be a trickle along the left bank. The water will drop about 4' when the water drops all the eels living in the mud will be left high and dry so they have to slither out of the mud and down to the water and the smallies have a Field day. Used to collect the eels and use for bait but you can't use bait any longer so I will be there with 4" black robos.

Love how your dog just chills on the bow... awesome! And good work on the SMB's. Those are some fun fish to fight.

Your dog has a look like he is listening to what ever you telling him Mike.  I was driving home sat. along the R.R. and was thinking about you/smallies during the whole ride looking down at the river. Thanks for the port&pics!

& I saw you had big one other day! :smt041
Let me know when you going out again on some evening.  I might be able to run away from work on some weekdays.  Don't worry, I'll try not to drown this time...

Yep he likes the bow of the double much better than the wet tankwell of my Cobra.

Adam he is pretty intense watching the lure, line and water likes to bite the fishes too. When I used to take him up the lake trolling (PB) for steelies he would sit in the bow staring at the rods and when one got hit he would start barking, when you have a fish on he watches the whole battle, when I lose one he gives me a disapointed look too funny.
