Come one, come all! Making that drive(4hrs) in hope of slaying the dragon. A buddy and I will be at the gate at 7 and hope to fish all day swell/wind permitted.  Let me know if anyone wants to meet up!

Launch at 8am after taking way to long to get way to much stuff loaded and rigged. Had a pink and silver triangle flasher and a krippled chovy rigged up so decided to drop it in right away and start trolling out towards deeper water. Bam! I got a bite 3 minutes later in 28 FOW with my gear at 26' on the downrigger. Wasnt sure what it was because it wasnt fighting at all. Got it right up to the surface to find it was my first ever hali! Look close to a keeper so I netted it. Figured with my luck it would be undersized but to my surprise it was a 23 ¹/⁴ inches! Got em on the stringer and rebaited and sent my gear back down. Bled the fish and got him on ice and washed the blood and slime away and BAM! Another bite! By this time I was in 30FOW and had my gear at 26'. Again with little to no effort another hali to the net but this time it was a nice 29¹/² inch fish. Got him netted and now the fish freaked out. Kinda wish he did that when I hooked em but super stoked to have 2 fish at 850am. Unfortunately that would be it for the day. The grass was a pain in the butt after we go out a little further. My buddy hook a kokanee sized salmon, shaker hali and a shaker ling. We fished hard until 4pm thanks to wind and swell. All and all a great day.
