When fishing in the kelp bed, how do you fish in it??? or do you fish outside of it when the fish is on your fish finder?? also without getting hung up for 30 minutes, having your buddy and the sea gules laughing at me!!  :smt013 :smt013 :smt013?

Drop into the holes that are clear so you don't snag so much. Or fish weedless type hooks or plastics.

I figure that if I'm near the kelp, that sooner or later I'm going to get hung up. If I've got LINGZILLA gear in the water, I'll be able to pull the lure free, no questions. But a lot of time I like to fish smallish plastics on a medium-medium light spinning rod. Donating the occasional lure to Neptune is part of the cost of fishing...

I fish larger openings in kelp, as well as right on the outer edges. You'll find me using grippers to hold myself to the kelp, and fan casting.

Scott

White and rootbeer seem to be the most popular colors.
