Make it a FnS event, might get Brendan's wrath  :smt067
FNS has been fishing Big Sur for some time now. I haven't heard from Brendan  :smt044

I met Brendan (Crahan) back when he worked for DFG, was a fish counter I believe at SC harbor. Talked with him quite awhile over his lunch break, Friendly, down to earth, with a wealth of knowledge.

But as they say, that was then,

Seems he went completely off the rails when Kayak fishing Big Sur took off, impinging on "his water" and his livelyhood.

While looking him up I found this undated article by another illustrious kayak fisher, before he was. http://www.kayaksportfishing.com/journal/journal_PAL_Big_Sur.htm

I've done a few of them, and yeah it was awesome.  But you have to get a motivated group of people that are willing to scrape up their gear, haul hundreds of yards, down cliffs, launch off rocks for those adventures.  Basically never did it again after that.
