I'm going to be camping for a week at the mouth of the Klamath over the Labor day week. I'll be targeting Kings and Steelhead at the Spit and the Glen areas and maybe surf perch at the spit. I have a basic and Steelhead licenses. What additional licenses/report cards do I need?

No. Ocean enhancement is only for Southern California.

Off topic but, we just returned from a few days at the Klamath. We stayed at Kamp Klamath campground. It's a beautiful area. We had a few bears wandering around the campground. Didn't do any fishing.

Have fun and good luck.
Al

That's exactly where 8 of us will camping. Been there before and had a bear tear up one of our coolers. No big deal, just part of the experience. You're right, it is beautiful up there. Planning to move into that area when I retire.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I've done this before but my 3watt light bulb never seems to remember what I need.

Years back we camped there right on the river bank upstream from the 101 bridge. Had a 13ft gregor boat we managed to drag up river and caught 2 good sized fish at 'blakes run'. Game wardens do stop you and check leader length to make sure you are not 'flossing'. At the mouth it can be combat fishing, shoulder to shoulder and you will probably see natives using nets. They will just toss nets right in front of the whole crowd, drift the nets right through everyones lines and tangle/snag you and just cut your line off.

Thats not the end, some weird stuff goes on as you go further up river into the reservation. We were stopped by the tribal police who were looking for someone who was armed, they were very serious and strongly advised we go elsewhere. That night we heard up in the woods what sounded like people partying but as the night went on it was screaming and fighting and people banging on stuff (not drums). Next day we saw some debris floating down river, pulled the boat up to it and it was the body of a black bear with its head cut off. That was the last day of our trip.

Its wild out there. Be smart, stay safe

Yeah, you need to keep your head on a swivel for sure. If you're not good at combat fishing or have a hot head, you don't belong there! Lost a fish to their nets a few years back. My bad, just wasn't paying attention. It's their land and they can do whatever they want. The pisser is that your fishing by the rules and some native kid steps right in front of you and snags a fish. But like I said, your on their land and they can do what they want. Also reeled in quite a few heads. Those dam seals and sea lions get to them pretty fast if you don't horse them in quickly. Its all part of the experience.
