Hello All!

My name is Russ and I’m a noob kayak angler in the Bay Area. I’m all set up with my vibe sea ghost 130 and all of the recommended PPE and gear. I’ve been out of the Santa Cruz Harbor a couple of times for halibut/rockfish/lingcod, but I’d really like to get out and try for salmon this summer. My major hurdle is that I’m not sure where to go! Plus I’d feel a lot better with a kayak buddy when exploring new spots. If anybody out there is willing to let me tag along then I’d really appreciate it. I’m free any day of the week.

Thank you!

Welcome! Since I'm relatively new myself I can't provide help in the way of spots but I'm in a similar boat where I want to catch salmon for the first time as well. If you're just looking for a fishing buddy to explore and figure things out I'd be interested!

Hi Russ. I’m new to salmon fishing from the kayak this year.

Been fishing past few weeks from HmB and Pacifica. Hit me up anytime you plan on going. I’ve been going nearly every day

Limited yesterday and got a nice one today. Plan to be there tomorrow and Monday also

I’m a king salmon addict now. The fight is unforgettable

That's some dedication. My knees couldn't handle that. I'll be there tomorrow morning too to hopefully make up for skunking on Friday.
