Hello All

ffranco9009  aka Frank, or Franco
To say that I am new to Kayak fishing is misleading because I have never tried it...yet!

Last weekend I was sitting at Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, (taking my mom out for whale watching) we saw bunch of kayak fisherman on the water and beach.  After a while walked over to them to chat about it this sport.  Really nice group of people who encouraged me to, "come on in"!  One of them suggested this site to learn more about this sport.

Originally, I'm from central valley and learned to freshwater fish growing up.  More recently I've tried surf and pier fishing.  But this seems more like an adventure that I would enjoy.  I'd like to get some advice on do's and don'ts from the experienced people here.  I would like to try this sport without buying bunch of new equipment.  So, any advice on how to get started would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Nice pic...you like a slayer...respond 10 times to get into reports and hookups, budget, determine yak style, peddle or paddle, safety gear, bookmark and read and learn weather conditions and limitations, re-entry practice, prepare for immersion, build waf points unless non-applicable, target a species, fish your face off, post report with FULL :smt005  details and pics and share stoke and recipes, repeat... :smt006
