It looks like ill be parting ways with my sleek Malibu 4.4. Its going to live with a paddler who will put it to far more use than I.  I always wanted to hook into a big striper in this boat and bring it in without taking my legs out of the straps. Thursday will be my last chance. Hope to launch from the north ramp at 0630 and will try to stay until I get one or exhaustion.

Thanks for the much needed help Adam,
Im even resorting to live minners. I was recently talking to a C-lake guide/legend and we got on  the live bait vs artificials philosophy convo. I had always been kind of a live bait snob and called it cheating. The guide squared up with me and said that I needed to ask myself if I was interested in catching really big fish or not?
My bait bucket is in the truck.

Terry,

I was out today. It was kinda slower, but the striper were showing themselves from time to time. If it were me......I would launch from the South boat ramp and head to the South side of the lake, from the end of the damn to crappie cove. The striper have been active near the emergency spillway, and while I wait for them to boil, I drag a dark brown beavertail with a splitshot right at the hook. I always land a couple of nice smallmouth.

If you end up in that area, you'll likely see me. Don't forget your castmasters!

CHEERS!

Sure, ill try the south ramp. What exit do I take? I usually see it from a different perspective.
I was thinking about strapping on a blue fox 1/4 that Sean gave me for my boil slinging lure, and Im bringing along a sack of fluke, mako style.

Take the Lake Mendo exit. Go toward the lake. At the signal at Lake Mendo and State, turn left, then make your first right back onto Lake Mendo. There is a small gas station at the intersection with coffee for a buck! Anyway, continue up Lake Mendo and it will turn into the South boat ramp.

I'm likely going to be at the lake around 0700 hours, after I get my coffee for a buck.

See you there!
