Topic: how do you test your Shark Shield?  (Read 1131 times)

hey shark shield owners, how do you test that your unit is properly working without zapping yourself from grabbing the antenna tail or purchasing their tester? I've got a voltage meter, but not exactly sure where to place the probes.

You should be able to place one probe high up on the “tail” and the other lower down and see the spikes. You might have to poke the probes in just a bit to get thru the outer mesh. At least that’s the way I remember it working—my SS has been out of commission for a while.

That was really my last resort 😆

This was it, thx NWM. Took a few tries but got a reading.. wasn’t what I expected. It was pulsating every 1-2 seconds on an amp reading and the probes located exactly where you said :) imma have to come back to this thread to remind myself what I did haha
