New to the board- SF-based

Howdy - my name is Stephen - been living and fishing in norcal all my life (Sac and north/east of Sac), just started fishing in the bay area the last couple years since I moved to SF. Got an old town PDL kayak a year ago and stuck to mostly trout fishing in the sierras but recently got on the bay for halibut fishing and its been solid so far this year, with 5 solid keepers and a nice striper between 3 trips. Looking forward to getting outside the bay for rockfish and ocean halibut this year. Would really love to go out into the ocean on a decent condition day with someone with experience to teach me the dos and donts of kayaking in the ocean outside the bay - what conditions to look for, how to find a good spot, general safety stuff, etc. Also into spearfishing and am looking forward to taking the kayak out for that either down past monterey or up north. I recommend starting out somewhere like HMB for ocean fishing. Stepping stone before attempting surf launches
