Hi out there,

I own a Prowler 15 Angler edition with two flush mount Scotty rod holders up front. They are too far forward for me to really use as rod holders. I needed to figure out a use for them.

I'm always looking behind me watching out for PB's, so I thought maybe a rear view mirror there...

I was laughing when I figured out that the rear view mirror attached to my bike clips perfectly to the Scotty Rod holder, and using the velcro it came with wraps around it to hold it tight.

It also doubles as a rod "lean to" - gotta love it!  :smt005

You might find that since the mirror is not that big and it's fairly far away, that the field of view in the mirror is small. you'd need some kind of convex mirror to see more.

but having a 'trooching' rod support is darn useful in anycase.

I have been using a mirror that mounts to my sunglasses to monitor backward pointing trolling rod tips. the biggest problem with it is that you sometimes get the sun reflected in the mirror, but otherwise, this one works pretty well although it makes you look a little funny. but hey, we are in primary colored plastic boats...

since the mirror is close to your eye, it can be small, yet still give you a good size field of view.
