Most excellent setups!
I dunno man, I don't see any beef sticks on walmart spinner specials.

I save those for half day boats.....pm trips, show up drunk, tell everybody what a slayer you are, strangle baits as you pin em on, tangle everyone up with green braid, stick the deckhand with a sculpin spine, throw up.....win the jackpot and use it to by more beer.  :metal

That Mak15T is D O P E.

.....I dig it.  Its smaller size is super easy to palm....I can see myself grabbing this rig before the penn 40.

boat looks bitchin!!! Lets run em for tuna this year... they're still around rn too..  Just picked up a Mak 16 on a 60-130 spiral-wrapped Okuma to have along with the fathom 40 2 speed and okuma PCH 60-100...Cannot wait to get out there again.  I was on the fence about the 16 /20 and mak versus penn but i really don't think you can go wrong between them

Gracias amigo....will holler if I decide to run her.  Mak vs Penn = Chevy vs. Ford it appears.  20 or so odd years ago, if you told me I'd own an okuma I would have laughed, their reels were horrible and their rods were legit garbage. They've come a long way.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker

Never seen an Okuma Millionaire but they may exist. I know about the Daiwa one. I have a couple of those in the storage shelf somewhere.
But Okuma has stepped up a lot. I sold my mak 16 and 20 reels that I sometimes regret doing (didn't get to fish them too often).
Incidentally, at Fishermans Landing tackle in SD, a guy showed me a picture of a 400lb YFT that he caught on his Mak 16 in Loreto that he was having spooled there. Those reels are built like tanks.
