Is it as simple as putting the micro sd card from my lowrance hook4  into my hummingbird helix and getting my waypoints just a different format?  I can’t quite make out what I’m reading regarding waypoints…

I've been told you use some software to convert the waypoint files.  But perhaps there may be different methods to achieve what you want.
If you ain't first, you're last.

I read some of what you suggest and it's way above my capabilities, or maybe I'll learn something...thanks brah... :smt006

looks like you need to use a piece of Software like GPSVisualizer (free ware) to convert the waypoints
https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input

p.s. any really GOOD waypoints, send them to me and I'll convert for you :)

Oooooo, tempting...I saw that page instruction.  I installed my lowarance card to my desktop and couldn't access my waypoint files, I guess that gps page exposes them.  I'll be on my spots when we fish together, though fish are everywhere aren't they?  Thanks for the hope... :smt006

Right?  I have 3 and I would laugh if they could pull it off without a blink and make me look like a geezer in the process... :smt006

Hi Eddie

I have been using https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ too and it is very useful to convert one format to others.  I typically convert Google Earth KML to Convert to GPX to load to my Lowrance FF.

When I went from my HdS to Garmin.  I did an export on the waypoints in the Lowrance menu.   Writes a file you can even load in to Excel.   Then on the Hummingbird you can probably do an import of the waypoint file.
