When to hit the squid

So I was hoping for some info on squid. Rockfish is closed and believe it or not the family is getting tired of crab . So I was wondering when is a good time to go fishing for squid and where is a good place to start. Please give all of your fishing secrets.

Your best bet is late April/ early May in MB. They can still show up earlier but usually they show up when the water is a little warmer than right now.

yeah what others said about Monterey bay...May is a good time and you'll know when you see all the boats out.
