I got there at 0530 made ready and was underway at first light. I went over to crappie cove and no action at first.  I thought I was done then all the sudden it went off like gang busters. I tried a storm shad no luck, zara spook nada nothing zilch. So I got the crappie rig out (4lb test) and put a 3" white fishtrap. Bingo Bango I saw the gango. I made two casts got two fish in a row then nothing for the next two hours.

I saw lots of nice fish rolling and busting, but like you guys have been saying these fish are pickey and unpredictable and you're right. Ihad a great time and going back soon.

Thanks for all your helpful posts! It made the differance for a Lake Mendo. first timer to be able to study up a bit and get a taste.

Sherm - hope you can make the Bendo at Mendo on October 6 & 7. It would be a great chance to meet and fish with the rest of the NCKA family  :smt002

Atta' boy Sherm! You've got the bug now.
At Bendo watch out for that Mooch fella and his apron. Sort of like the Godfather flick, he woke up with a pig head in his yak and he's never been the same. :smt003
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
