Shows it as ineligible for AOTY, but not sure why that is.    Also see that there is an entry for Smallmouth & Spotted bass.  What is the history here?

They combined spots and SM years back. The SM category use to be 10 points per inch. I think this was changed because they had a hard time telling them apart?

I liked having the 2 different categories. It made me want to go after SM more.

Ah this makes sense, the hybrids were an issue in the past so combining them probably reduced confusion.  I do agree however it's fun to have them separate, but combined is fine too.  Guess I need to re-submit that spot  :smt005
