I went out solo at 6:30 AM today. Bait bait bait bait bait bait everywhere. Did a lot of trolling with a rotary, got one 15". They're here! (sort of).

Talked to a guy named Jack who doesn't know about the website he caught a shaker. He mentioned tons of bait boiling around everywhere.  Two aluminum boats were out as well but goose eggs as of 3:15.

Listening to http://www.shiptoshoreradio.com Sunday morning, I heard two Party Boats talking about the haystacks and boiling bait at Linda Mar, they reported a 14lb salmon too. About 10:40AM

Granitedive, good job!  You nailed the first one out of Linda Mar :worship
I think it's time for me to start hitting Linda Mar too.  It could pop anytime now.

If the kayaks beat the boat-docks dories to the punch, that would be a trip! Those guys hide their cards REAL good... Actually, one of my diver friends said he saw a yak come out of LM with a salmon a few weeks ago. The dories could take limits for a month and act like nothing's going on :smt015

Maybe, it was the guy we call the "Local Legend" -- he wears an Aussie hat and paddles a yellow Prowler 15.  He's been known to paddle out in rough conditions and head straight out way past Pedro Point and almost always returns with limits.  (Joel... I hope you don't think I was referring to you...  :smt081  )

Now, I can believe that.  I'm sure those guys hate seeing kayakers moving in on their action.
