I haven't been active or fishing in quite a while as I have had knee surgery that kept me from a lot of things. I'm doing better and I think I'm gonna to go to Santa Cruz tomorrow before the weather turns and the season ends. I know there is no fish in SC but just being able to get OTW sounds very appealing right now and if I can hook something even better ;-)

There IS fish in SC. I usually fish the lighthouse area for rock fish and lingcod. Caught 8 RF and 1 shaker ling last Sunday. Lost a keeper ling, I think. Never saw it. Lots of snag though.

It was a nice day on the water. Launch at dawn and did my usual tour. Got a 22" lingcod and 3 RF (only kept one as there were on the smaller side)

That sounds like a good time.

I haven't been out in forever, but hoping to go a couple of times before the end of the season...

I believe I saw you by the lighthouse. I tried to call NCKA on Ch69 but no one answered.

Well done

Yes. I was in the lighthouse area. Didn’t recall seeing many kayakers there. I did answer a radio check call maybe around noon. But didn’t hear clearly what was said after that.
