It's fun to have mountain lions hanging out in your back yard until pets start disappearing from the neighborhood.  Here is a picture of our cat Sherman with a mountain lion skull.  Sherman looks pretty tough in the picture, but a couple of years later he got eaten by a mountain lion.

Hopefully it eats a lot of neighborhood cats. Outdoor cats are a menace to small birds and other vertebrates.
